October Birchbox

It is that exciting time of month again....Birchbox time!
This month you got a choice of two different boxes the Basic's box or the Stylists box, I myself went with the Stylists box as it had lots of amazing things in there I couldn't wait to try out.

First of all the box it's self is amazing! It is colourful but so girly as well. It has crumbled up what I assume is eye shadow powder on the box and it looks beautiful.

Inside the box is the usual drawstring bag I love.
The items inside the box I was really looking forward to trying as a lot of them I tend to use similar items on a daily or at least weekly basis anyway.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 | £10.20

October Birchbox

This is a micellar water which is used for fast and effective cleansing without the irritation.
I have never actually used anything like this before, I usually use either face washes or cream cleaners so I was quite intrigued by this as I have read a lot about these sort of cleansers on other blogs. I must admit I tend to use this after showering as a final cleaner to make sure all dirt and grime is off my face and it does tend to work very well, I have used it a good few mornings where I used it as the only cleanser I've used and it was good to see all the dirt on a cotton pad.
Overall I am quite impressed with this little number and my face seems to have a nice fresh look and feel to it since using it.

Parlor by Jeff Chastain Smoothing Blowout Spray | £17.00

October Birchbox

This is supposed to blot out frizz, protect against heat damage and render your hair more manageable along with holding your style for longer.
The first thing I noticed about this was the absolutely gorgeous smell! It has a lovely peachy but woody smell to it - they certainly weren't lying about that!
It made my hair lovely and smooth, gave it a bit of volume and it did actually hold my hair in place very well so overall I am very happy with this one. The scent alone is enough to get me to buy this.

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel | £8.50

October Birchbox

This gel instantly transforms into foam with added water, and you really don't need a lot at all. I used a small amount for the top half of me and the same for my legs. Therefore this will last a long while I feel which is great for the price - which isn't bad at all either!
The rose scent is beautiful, I do love my floral scents so this was a great one for me to try. My skin feels nice and soft after using it and when paired with my Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction moisturiser and body spray the scent lasts even longer.

When Travelmate Sheet Mask | £25 for a pack of 4

October Birchbox

I love a good face mask, they are a god send on my skin. This face sheet locks in moisture and softens skin undoing all the damage from your day to day duties or post haul flight etc.
I have never actually used a sheet mask before so this was interesting.
I have to be honest I actually wasn't overally impressed, the sheet is rather large and didn't really fit my face all that well. I managed to get it into a position on my cheeks and forehead, but as it was a bit big it slipped off my chin and under my nose quite a bit and baring in mind you have to wear this for 30 minutes, it was a bit of a pain. My skin didn't feel as moisturised as I thought it would either so i was slightly disappointed really which was a shame.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze | £19.00

October Birchbox

This is full of avocado and cocoa butters to nourish your lips. This was a full sized sample and one I was looking forward to trying till I got it and realised it was a nude shade which unfortunately really doesn't suit my pale skin at all. It is a beautiful colour even though I won't use it and the packaging is just gorgeous, it is in a lovely silver bullet package that is inside a cardboard bullet packaging. This would be great for putting in your handbag. I'm so sad I won't be using this.

Beauty Bonus!
English Laundry No 7 Signature For Her | £60.00

October Birchbox

This has rose geranium and creamy white flowers combined with musk for an uplifting scent that is perfect for spring.
This is a nice scent, probably one I wont spend £60.00 on but it is lovely. It smells clean, like laundry I suppose - hence the name. I do prefer more floral scents so I won't really be buying this one I don't think but it is a lovely smell and it lasts a while to which is good.
