Book Review: Sleepless In Manhattan

Sleepless In Manhattan

I picked this up wanting to have something to read on the plane to New York, never having read a book by Sarah Morgan this sounded like my sort of read. I love a good chick flick book, especially when spring/summer hits, there really isn't anything better right?

Paige has checked off everything on her perfect New York life checklist, except one, the ultimate New York romance...

Cool, calm and competent, events planner Paige Walker loves a challenge. But when she looses the job she loves, Paige must face her biggest challenge of all - going it alone.

Except launching her own events company is nothing compared to hiding her crush on Jake Romano - her brothers best friend, one of New York's most eligible bachelors...and the only man who's ever broken her heart.

When Jake offers Paige's fledgling company a big chance, the ever present chemistry between them starts giving her sleepless nights. But could Paige be the girl to make the man who trusts no-one take a chance on forever?

My Review

This was a great, easy read and I found it very detailed, you could always picture what was happening and where it was happening. The characters where all very likable and I felt myself rooting for all of them. This is your typical it all works out great in the end story but everything that happens to get there is great and fun to read. The thing that surprised me was there was some love scenes shall we say in the book, and they were actually quite detailed, not quite in a 50 Shades Of Grey way but you were still told everything that was happening. I actually liked that though and I think that was why it was a nice surprise, I've read to many girly love stories where the authors almost skip past that part even though you know what's happening.
The three girls that the book really centers around are all fantastic character's, in fact they are three girls I would love to actually be friends with.
Sarah Morgan is a great author and I will certainly be looking to pick up more of her books. In the mean time I definitely recommend this book, it's so good that I have already pre-ordered the next two books in this series - Sunset In Central Park (released July 14th) and Miracle On 5th Street (released October 20th). So still plenty of time to get this one read in time for book two to come out. I found myself flying through this book and actually finished it in three days.

Have you read this book yet? If so what where your thought's?
